Each year, Intuit releases a new version of its popular QuickBooks Pro and Premiere software programs. Each new version usually contains new features, functionality and program improvements compared to last year's version. Intuit also continues to provide support and software fixes for the last three versions of QuickBooks. If the new version of QuickBooks has new features you would really like to use, it usually is well worth the cost of upgrading your current version. At the very least, it is often a good idea to upgrade every three years to keep your version of QuickBooks supported by Intuit. This last consideration is becoming even more important in recent years as Intuit has increasingly added Internet and e-service functionality to QuickBooks. These increasingly important functions cease to work once the version of QuickBooks ceases to be supported by Intuit. So, are there new features in QuickBooks 2011 that make it enticing to upgrade?
